After graduating OSA I got my BFA in Arts Administration from Emerson College and spent a semester in London working at the Camden People’s Theatre. I spent 6 months in the 2021 Berkeley Repertory Theatre Development Fellowship before accepting my current job as Development Operations Manager at the Huntington Theatre in Boston.
OSA set me on my career path in regional theatre. I went into college with an advanced knowledge of theatre history and practicum that set me up for success. I’m still collaborating with many of my OSA classmates on their post grad projects.OSA set my standard for working in creative environments and taught me what creative collaboration can achieve.
I am so proud to be from Oakland. Living in Boston for the last 7 years has made me more grateful than ever to have grown up in a place full of culture and art.
So many. I loved being given the opportunity to push my own creative boundaries. Bringing Beckett’s Not I to the Ohlone theatre festival as a 15 year old remains something I’m extremely proud of. Not many other schools allow and encourage their students to pursue challenging avant garde work.
Matthew Travisano and Becky Potter are brilliant, challenging, nurturing teachers who lovingly forced me to step outside my own box and do work that made me afraid. From Sarah Ruhl, to the Greeks, to Cyrene deBergerac, they expected their students to step up to the plate, and I feel like most of the time it payed off.
