What have you been doing post OSA?

I graduated from American University in May with my BA in International Studies and a minor in anthropology. I have remained in the DC area with hopes of finding a job related to international development.

Are there any career highlights that you'd like us to share and celebrate?

How did attending OSA impact your life and career?

OSA cultivated a community of people that pushed me to explore new aspects of my creativity every single day. I was able to pursue an art form I was incredibly passionate about, though I ended up studying something entirely different in college.

What does being from Oakland (or the greater Bay Area) mean to you?

I am so incredibly proud to be from Oakland. The city is filled with creativity and culture that rubs off on its inhabitants, and you just can't help but want to be a part of the community.

What is your fondest memory of being a student at OSA?

Orchestra concerts, being backstage with everyone and chatting or playing card games to pass the time instead of watching the other performances.

Please share which teacher/class at OSA had the greatest impact on you and why:

Nicholas Kanozik. He challenged me more than any other teacher I had in high school and he not only made me a better musician, but made me truly believe in myself.
